Harm Reduction & Substance Use Support

Narcan Kits

Narcan (naloxone) is a life-saving medication that reverses opioid overdoses by blocking opioid receptors in the brain. We provide free Narcan kits, including fentanyl and xylazine test strips and a CPR face shield, to all students, staff, and faculty.

How to Get a Narcan Kit

Stop by UHS General Medicine to request a Narcan kit - no name required!

If you'd like to meet with a UHS provider to receive a brief review of the kit contents, call UHS General Medicine at (617) 287-5660 or ask the front desk.

Learn How to Use Narcan

Carrying Narcan provides critical support in emergencies, potentially saving lives before professional help arrives. Below are some additional resources:

Behavioral Addictions and Substance Use (BASU) Peer Support Group

Join our bi-weekly support group designed to provide a supportive environment for individuals who believe they may be struggling with behavioral addictions and/or substances use. During sessions, participants will find a safe space where they can share their concerns and/or experience(s) around addiction.
