Dr. Foust’s program of research focuses on improving post-hospital medication management and transition-related care of older adults with a special interest in the implications for home health care. She has also been a co-investigator on federally funded studies examining health-related quality of life of older adults beginning to receive long term care services and medication management among home health care clients. She has led several interprofessional educational seminars focusing on nurse-pharmacist post-hospital medication collaboration. She is Co-Principal Investigator of a National League for Nursing funded study testing the feasibility of using mixed reality simulation to facilitate empathy and interprofessional communication skills in primary care.
