Who Can Be Seen at UHS?
- UMass Boston Students: Students enrolled at UMass Boston are eligible for care at UHS.
How to Book an Appointment
- Self-Book Using My Health Beacon Portal:

- Visit the My Health Beacon Portal.
- Sign in using your UMass Boston credentials.
- Confirm your date of birth to verify your identity.
- On the homepage, under "I would like to...," select the "Schedule an Appointment" button, or choose the "Appointments" tab on the left-hand side.
- Read the reminders and click "Schedule an Appointment."
- Select your appointment type and proceed.
- Phone: Call our front desk at (617) 287-5660 to schedule an appointment.
- If you're experiencing an emergency, dial 911 immediately.
Before Your Appointment
- Upload Your Insurance Card: Log in to your My Health Beacon Portal and upload a copy of your insurance card under the "Insurance Card" tab on the left-hand side before your appointment. You can also bring a physical copy to your visit.
- Need Translation? We offer Language Line Translation Services to assist non-English speakers. Call the front desk at (617) 287-5660 to request a translator, or let the front desk know when you arrive.
After-Hours and 24/7 Care
- Medical Advice After Hours: Call our Nurse Triage Line at (617) 287-5660 for 24/7 medical advice when UHS is closed.
- Mental Health Crisis Support (24/7): If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call (855) 634-4135 for immediate support.
