Research. Education. Networking.
The Center for Green Chemistry is not only a hub for research, but it also works to educate chemists on how to consider the environmental, health, and energy consequences of their work.
Created in 2002, the Center for Green Chemistry is affiliated with UMass Boston's Chemistry Department. UMass Boston was the first school in the country to offer a PhD in chemistry with a track in green chemistry.
We're Leaders In Our Field
UMass Boston and Yale University co-hosted a green chemistry workshop at UMass Boston in September, celebrating the many achievements of academic and industry leaders in the emergent field.
