As the Senior Lecturer II, Susan Mraz teaches all levels of Spanish Language.  In addition, she has taught the technology and assessment courses for the Graduate Certificate in Spanish Teaching.  She is an expert in Teaching Methodologies and Technology in the Language Classroom and is active in presenting workshops and conferences in the area of Pedagogy and Technology. She started working at UMass Boston in 1999 as a part-time instructor and was the Language Coordinator for Spanish and Portuguese from 2002–2014.

She is co-author of the Introductory program, Caminos 3/e, Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston, MA (© 2008) and the Intermediate program, Reflejos, Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston, MA (© 2004).

On May 15, 2013 Professor Susan Mraz received the Award for Leadership in Teaching with Technology in Web-Enhanced Environments at the CIT/Library/EdTech Conference: Innovating Teaching & Learning through Partnerships and Collaboration.  This award is given to someone who is a thoughtful user of technology in his/her own teaching and who also contributes in larger ways to our campus conversations about teaching with technology.
